President Donald Trump has announced the appointment of Sriram Krishnan, an accomplished Indian-American entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and author, as the Senior White House Policy Advisor on Artificial Intelligence. The official statement highlighted Krishnan’s role in shaping AI policy at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Trump stated, “Sriram Krishnan will bring his extensive expertise to ensure America’s continued leadership in artificial intelligence. Working alongside David Sacks, he will play a critical role in coordinating AI strategies across government departments and collaborating with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.”

Who is Sriram Krishnan?

Krishnan’s journey began at SRM Valliammai Engineering College in Tamil Nadu, India, where he earned his degree in engineering. He started his career at Microsoft, contributing significantly to the development of Windows Azure by working on its APIs and services.
